Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Technician to help maintain food safety and sanitation standards at our distribution center. This role is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing both food contact and non-food contact surfaces to support a safe and hygienic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all sanitation procedures and food safety standards.
• Clean and maintain the facility’s buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, scraping, and using squeegees or compressed air.
• Clean walls, doors, and surfaces using appropriate tools such as scrub brushes, pressure washers, and hand towels.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sanitation logs and documentation.
• Read, understand, and safely handle chemical cleaning agents.
• Report safety or maintenance concerns to supervisors in a timely manner.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support sanitation and safety operations.

Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work in a cold, wet, temperature-controlled environment (34°F to 42°F).
• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts and cleaning equipment.
• Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching as needed.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or at least 2 years of relevant sanitation experience.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work varying shifts as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with forklift or scissor lift equipment.
