Job Title: Light Industrial – General Labor
Location: Long Beach, CA 90805
Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Assignment Length: 1-month temporary assignment
Job Overview:
We are currently hiring for a short-term general labor position at our Long Beach facility. This hands-on role involves cleaning industrial mixers and floor areas using pneumatic chisels and other tools. Ideal for someone who is dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean industrial mixers and facility floors as instructed
Follow all standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is maintained properly
Load, unload, and transport materials and finished products within the facility using hand trucks or manual methods
Deliver materials to designated workstations and assist with product staging
Maintain cleanliness and organization on the production line
Assist in basic equipment cleaning and maintenance as part of the Autonomous Maintenance Program
Monitor product quality and report issues to supervisors
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to maintaining a safe workplace
Complete tasks as assigned to meet production and safety goals
Experience & Skills Requirements:
Previous general labor or warehouse experience preferred
Ability to work with cleaning tools, including pneumatic chisels
Forklift experience is a plus
Comfortable working in confined spaces (training provided)
Ability to read and follow SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
Experience with light chemical handling or manufacturing is preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Good attendance and punctuality are essential
Basic math skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
Understanding of safety protocols including lock-out/tag-out and hazard communication
Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Physical & Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs safely
Stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
Must be able to work in a production facility with changing temperatures
Requires 20/20 vision (corrected is acceptable)
Must be able to safely work in confined spaces after completing required training
