We are seeking a Saw Operator to Set Up and Operate a variety of industrial saws and cutting equipment.
Overview
Training to operate multiple machines throughout the plant, including:
- Trim Saw Operation: Operate the saw to cut and prepare metal parts according to precise measurements and job specifications.
- Threading Machine: Set parts in the machine to cut or form threads as required.
- Deburring Process: Remove burrs, sharp edges, and excess material from finished parts to ensure a clean and safe final product.
- Air Test Station: Perform basic leak or pressure testing of parts using compressed air.
- Material Handling: Load raw materials and unload finished parts, ensuring secure placement, proper handling, and inspection for quality and conformance to tolerance.
- Documentation: Learn to read and follow job travelers (work instructions), interpret blueprints, and inspect parts using required inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers).
- Forklift Operation: Operate powered industrial trucks (PITs) as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing environment operating equipment.
- Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/32".
- Basic computer knowledge preferred.
- Ability to lift parts up to 35 pounds.
