CDL Yard Spotter

$21/hr - Paid Weekly
6 am - 2:30 pm
*Must have CDL
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Complete daily spotter inspection report prior to entering the truck
- Check and record all fluid levels and if any fluids are needed, the amount added should be noted as well
- Complete daily yard check at the beginning of every shift
- Inspect for any damages to the trailers and if damages found, bring to supervisor’s attention immediately
- Ensure all deliveries are sealed or are locked on the trailer and reject any trailers with no lock or seal
- Inspect all inbound empty trailers prior to accepting them
- Sweep out all trailers and ensure it is emptied into the dumpster
- Keep the yard (both empty and loaded) in a neat and orderly manner
- Ensure trailers are lined up with the pads and backed in with minimal to no gaps
- Enter all moves into yard view and if it is down, it must be noted on the spotter moves form
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.P.’s) at all times.
- Complies with all safety, health and environmental regulations as prescribed by law and Company policies.
- Meets Company attendance standards of start and end times for work as scheduled.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with Company rules, regulations and policies.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMNETS:
- Able to work in a fast paced environment.
- Physical and mental ability to work in excess of 40 hours per week.
- Must have good eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity.
- Uses both hands, feet and fingers to operate forklifts.
- Walks up to 400 yards to work and break areas.
- Ability to work in variable (hot and cold) temperatures.
WORKING REALTIONSHIPS:
- Maintain harmonious working relationships with employee and management in all departments.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in using R.F. (Radio Frequency) System.
- Basic Math and Reading skills.
