CONCRETE PRECAST TECHNICIAN
Position Type: Temp to Hire
Position Location: Northwood, OH
Position Shift: 4:30am-12:30pm, Monday-Friday
Position Salary: $20.00-$21.00/hour
Our client is seeking motivated individuals to craft their concrete products consisting of a variety of products including retaining wall blocks, light pole bases, boardwalk systems, and burial vaults.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- 2 yrs experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to use measuring equipment and general hand tools
- Able to perform moderate math calculations
- Subject to background check and drug screen
JOB DUTIES
- Provide quality and timely workmanship on each job performed
- Maintain clean and orderly materials and work environment
- Clean and prep empty molds for filling
- Follow all established safety, environmental, and quality policies and practices, including the use and care of PPE
- Work in a safe and responsible manner that abides by all company procedures and OSHA standards
- Read drawings and understand basic dimensions
- Use measuring equipment to verify conformance to specifications
- Operate controls on concrete pouring machinery to fill molds
- Remove excess concrete from molds for a clean finish
- Ensure products are being filled to the proper heights and cleaned thoroughly
- Package and label finished products for inventory
- Inspect for quality-related issues as it relates to the molds and forms
- Perform inspection of the final product
- Maintain machinery and equipment through daily inspections and cleanliness
- Learn and perform other production-related duties as needed
- Move to other work areas to support production needs (cross-train)
