Norton, OH, 44203
Pay Rate Range ($):   $20.00
SHIFT:  1st shift - Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Friday - per production demand.
PPE:  MUST have steel toed boots/shoes – ALL Other PPE is provided

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations.
  • Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for each task and maintain PPE in a safe, usable condition.
  • Operate equipment and perform tasks as instructed by supervisors or experienced personnel.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the production process and promptly alert supervisors of any compliance issues.
  • Perform start-up and shut-down activities as directed by supervisors.
  • Actively participate in cross-training for various line positions in the plant.
  • Maintain accurate counts and document products being produced or used as required.
  • Keep the production line organized, clean, and free of hazards.
  • Support the Autonomous Maintenance Program by greasing, adjusting, or cleaning specific parts of the production line.
  • Achieve safety targets set by supervisors and management.
  • Train laborers and new manufacturing associates.
  • Perform general labor duties as required to meet production needs.
  • Attend safety meetings and conduct safety audits.
  • Maintain a strong attendance record and punctuality.
Experience and Skills Requirements:
  • Ability to comprehend and follow relevant safety, quality, security, and operational policies/procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and monitor multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Experience reading and working with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a plus.
  • Experience with chemicals and/or light chemical manufacturing is preferred.
  • Basic math skills with the ability to apply them in a work environment.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and directions as needed.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team.
  • Understanding and competency in safety rules and regulations after training, demonstrated through written or verbal examination.
  • Ability to understand and follow posted signage throughout the facility.
  • Clear understanding of lock-out, tag-out procedures.
  • Familiarity with standard operating procedures and operator manuals for safe equipment operation.
  • Clear understanding of hazard communication policies.
Working Conditions:
  • 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Full range of motion to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, or kneel.
  • Ability to perform repetitive, strenuous work under varying climate conditions.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a plant environment with varying temperature and physical requirements.
