Pay Rate: $20.00 Per Hour
Shift Times: 7am-3pm
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our yard operations, ensuring that materials and equipment are organized and accessible. This position involves various tasks that require physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, cherry pickers, and other machinery as needed.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including loading and unloading materials.
- Perform order picking duties to fulfill customer requests accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard environment, ensuring all materials are stored properly.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline operations and improve productivity.
- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes.
- Engage in heavy lifting tasks as required, ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely; certification may be required.
- Experience with order picking and inventory management systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to yard operations is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
